As external CIO, Cheryl has been critical to GridHawk's growth. We've grown from a single client to the second-largest player in the space, serving customers in 28 states, and our revenue has grown from $5 million to over $225 million. Cheryl was really critical to growing and building our entire IT team. She did a great job of getting up to speed on our business, taking the leadership role, managing our external dev team, and putting processes and controls in place. I can't really overstate the value of what Cheryl provided. She is the navigator and co-pilot we didn't know we needed. When we acquired DominionX, the company's proprietary software was described to us as the "be-all and end-all," but it turned out to be a bridge to nowhere. Cheryl was able to dive in and separate the claims from reality. She went to the market, researched, and helped us land on the new ERP platform we're on now. She spent almost a year before the launch, and then a year since, really trying to help us tailor our operation to the system and the system to our operation. She's managed all of our technology resources, third-party and in-house, and has done a very, very good job with that. This continues to guide us in optimizing our technology platform. We were lost in the dark, and she helped shine a light, course correct, and redirect us to where we are today.

Cheryl was a pleasure to work with and very easy to get along with. Some IT folks are so dry you can’t wait to get off the phone, but it was always enjoyable to have a call with her, to talk things through, and get things done. What I liked about her in that role was that she could direct the team and bring matters to a resolution. She very rarely, if ever, came to me with a problem without also bringing possible solutions. She was truly an executive leader for our IT organization, building the structure we needed to succeed. We needed to do a lot of scaling. This company started five or six years ago with 50 employees. When Cheryl came on board, we had around 125. Today we have about 2,700 employees. She set up the organization's entire IT infrastructure to enable us to grow effectively and be successful. Our systems wouldn’t be where they are – in IT application support, security infrastructure, processes, and tracking – if it weren't for her leadership. She was integral in the implementation of our ERP with NetSuite. She was also involved in developing the application we had, Evotix, and the Samsara application, and in keeping our current ticket management system up and running during our conversion to DigTix.

I had worked with Cheryl on a complex technology project in the past and brought her in to handle a massive systems conversion involving fifteen of our top global customers. It was a major investment and one of the CEO's top 5 priorities. She delivered exceptional results and managed stakeholder expectations brilliantly.

Cheryl is like a "swiss army knife." She can operate at the 100,000-foot level and at the 10 ft level, and can work effectively with executive teams and others and was able to work with and impress a large team of engineers. She gets the job done with excellence and professionalism.
